The Rodin Project

Yolande York-Edgell and Jack Jones of Yorke Dance Project danced solos surrounded by my work in the gallery. The sculpture, Marilyn, will be leaving the gallery early next week to join Yolande York-Edgell on stage at Bath ICIA when she dances in the company’s World Premier of Words Worth.

My Exhibition at No Format Opens Tonight

No format gallery opens at 5.00pm, Yolande Yorke-Edgell and Jack Jones from Yorke Dance Company will dance 2 solos at 7.30pm, the gallery will close at 9.00pm.

If you can’t make tonight I will be at the gallery tomorrow 11.00 – 5.00pm and at the weekend, 15th and 16th September 11 – 6pm. Next week the gallery will be open Friday 21st 11.00 – 5.00pm with a performance at 2.30pm from Lewisham College dance students.

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd 11.00 – 6.00pm will be your last opportunity to see the exhibition at no format gallery.

Yorke Dance Project to dance at my exhibition

Artistic Director and choreographer of Yorke Dance Project, Yolande Yorke-Edgell, will be dancing a solo on the opening night of my exhibition, inspired by a letter from Marilyn Monroe to her psychiatrist. I am working on a full size wire sculpture of Yolande dancing Marilyn. The sculpture will be on show on the opening night of my exhibition and then on stage with Yolande during the tour of Words Worth with Yorke Dance Project.

Open Studios

This weekend at Second Floor Studios, we opened our doors to a steady stream of visitors, to chat, buy our work or just take a look around. I sold etchings and was commissioned to make a painting containing dynamic movement for a communal office space. Several visitors left with measurements and titles of paintings to mull over before possibly purchasing, as well as a commission for a life size sculpture of a dancer created in wire for a local garden.

November 2011 Open Studio

Thank you to everyone who came last weekend to our Open Studios at Second Floor Studios in Woolwich. Saturday was a beautiful crisp sunny November day, but quiet. Sunday however was buzzing with activity, from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm my studio was full of visitors, which was surprising as there was thick fog outside.

Paintings, drawings and etchings will go on show in Marylebone in January, at the excellent award winning hair salon: Billi Currie, Chiltern Street W1U 6LX.

My etchings are exhibited in Suffolk at Southwold’s Buckenham Galleries.
